You will find information about services and programs that will help students navigate the Institute, stay physically and mentally healthy, meet new friends and network, develop a career path, register for classes, manage finances, learn about scholarships, and much more. Student life seeks to provide students with the opportunities, resources and support necessary to explore and expand their personal interests, build relationships and work with others, develop skills and experiences, grow as individuals, and have fun while at AGPIT.

AGPIT arranges for all students hundreds of extracurricular learning, recreational and cultural activities. Campus life at AGPIT offers different sports, student’s organization at each department, and a variety of student publications, magazines, semester wise newsletters and media. Guidance for higher studies and study abroad, opportunities are available in most of the country. If you are ready to grow your experience, skills and resume, vocational industrial training in reputed industries, technical events and cultural activities are great ways to learn and have fun.

 

VisionHundreds of sports and recreational opportunities keep you fit physically and mentally. Hone your leadership skills and make a difference with community service initiatives like NSS, NCC.The campus is spread over sprawling 10 acres of land with large playground for athletics and outdoor games like cricket, football, base ball, volleyball. A well equipped gymnasium with various indoor games facility is available for the students after college hours. The campus is located in clean environment on the outskirts of the city and has corporation bus facility apart from autos, for easy commutation to bus stand, railway station, shopping places within the city.       

 

The campus houses separate ragging free hostel buildings for boys and girls. All the rooms are having attached toilet & bath facility. The solar hot water facility is available to all the students. The hostels are managed by full time rectors. Professional security guards and CCTV system are in place for the safety of the campus inmates. The campus is well lit in the night along with solar lamps and Generator back up facility. A stationery shop is available within the campus to buy day to day necessities. A canteen and mess facility is available 24x7 for hygienic food.

The parents of the students can avail the limited guest room facility available in the campus for one or two days at nominal charges with prior intimation. A well furnished library is available in the campus for reading all the newspapers – local as well as national dailies and magazines. At each department, we have students’ organizations like MESA, CESA, CSSA, ETSA, etc.It is organized by student community only for the students. They organize various competitions, sports and recreational activities for all the students. To monitor the academic activities, a student council is elected every year

There are plenty of ways to fill your free time and express yourself at AGPIT. Solapur city has many cinema halls, Drama theatres, Sambhaji (Kambar) Lake, historic Siddheshwar Temple, textile market, etc. There are many places in the vicinity of the city. During weekends, one can visit Bhavani Temple at Tuljapur, Vitthal Temple at Pandharpur, Swami Samarth Temple at Akkalkot, world famous Gol Ghumat at Vijapur (Karnataka), etc. All of us at AGPIT are committed to providing students every opportunity to make the most of their time at the campus. Your Free Time
Academics

VisionThe Institute working time is from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm every day. Lunch time is from 12 noon to 12.45 pm. Sunday is holiday. The classes and practical begin from 10 am up to 5 pm. As per requirement, any faculty can have extra coaching class either before or after the working hours. The academic calendar, class time table for the semester is available on the college website at www.agpit.edu.in . They are also displayed on the department’s notice board. During college working hours, no student is allowed to go to hostel room, except during lunch time or with prior written permission of HOD. Students are expected to attend all the lectures and practical as per the time table.

 The attendance details are displayed on the notice board as well as on Institute’s website in “Parent Corner”. The subject wise attendance details are sent to the registered parents’ mobile by SMS/E-mail. The performance of all the students in internal tests is posted on our website and displayed on the respective departments’ notice boards. The parents can contact the Mentor / HOD for the information of their ward. Those students, who fail in the internal tests, are required to give the re-test until he/she passes with good marks.

For the grant of the term, every student has to attend 100% practical and submit the Journal / Assignments / Sheets at the end of the semester before the due date. Those who do not submit the Journals, will be treated as defaulters and will not be allowed to appear for the University examinations. All the professors evaluate the students on continuous basis and submit the marks to the University. The mark to each student is awarded based on the following.

    1. Performance in internal tests.
    2. Overall attendance in all the subjects.
    3. Performance in practical.
    4. Timely submission of assignments.
    5. Performance in internal oral exam.
    6. Participation & performance in extracurricular activities


Scholarships

Mission The students can avail the following scholarships from Central, State Govt. as well as Institute.
    1. Scholarships to SC/ST/VJ/NT and OBC students as per Govt. of Maharashtra rules admitted through CAP.
    2. Scholarships to minority students as per Central and State Govt. Rules.
    3. Scholarships to primary and secondary teachers wards as per State Govt. rules.
    4. Scholarships to University Rankers as decided by the Institute.
    5. Scholarships under Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS).
    6. Scholarships in the form of concessions in Fees for meritorious students.
